From February 1 to 3, 2017, the International Student and Study Abroad Center (ISSAC) at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) organized a series of activities to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Confucius Institute (CI) at the U of S hosted the celebration on February 3.
The celebration started at 11:00am and lasted for nearly three hours until 2:00pm. The U of S CI volunteer teachers had prepared a variety of activities for both the staff members and the students to experience Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, making bracelets, taichi, Chinese traditional dance, Chinese food, etc. All the attendees were actively involved in the celebration activities and had had a wonderful experience of Chinese culture.
