On June 6, 2017, the three-session pre-departure training for Edwards School of Business MBA students at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) was successfully completed.

The U of S Edwards School of Business organizes China study tour for its MBA students in June every year. As usual, this year’s pre-departure training was carried out by the Confucius Institute (CI) at the University of Saskatchewan. For the first session, the Chinese Co-Director of the CI, Dr. Ning Liu, gave a brief introduction to China. For the second and third session, the CI volunteer teacher, Ms. Yuanning Cao, conducted Chinese language lessons to the students on May 11 and June 6 respectively. From the three-session pre-departure training, the MBA students have learnt not only some general knowledge about China, but also some simple everyday conversations in Chinese such as greetings, ordering food, shopping, etc. The CI volunteer teachers encouraged the MBA students to practice what they had learnt and continue Chinese learning while in China.
