2018 Saskatoon Mid-autumn Festival Gala

On September 22, 2018, “2018 Saskatoon Mid-autumn Festival Gala” was successfully held at Lakeview Church, Saskatoon. More than 200 performers from the three co-organizing groups, Saskatoon Spring Choir, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan, and Chinese Dance School of Saskatchewan, together with more than 700 audience celebrated this great traditional Chinese festival together.

On September 22, 2018, “2018 Saskatoon Mid-autumn Festival Gala” was successfully held at Lakeview Church, Saskatoon. More than 200 performers from the three co-organizing groups, Saskatoon Spring Choir, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan, and Chinese Dance School of Saskatchewan, together with more than 700 audience celebrated this great traditional Chinese festival together.

The Consul General Ms. LU Xu at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary wrote a congratulation letter to the gala. The mayor of Saskatoon, his honorary Charlie Clark, and Professor Michelle Prytula, Dean of the College of Education and member of the U of S CI Board, gave the opening remarks to the gala.

BTV Morning News host Jeremy Dodge, the U of S CI Administrative Coordinator Ms. Dan Zhao, YCMA kindergarten teacher Xiangyun Kong, and the U of S student Archer Bell hosted this celebration gala.

The U of S CI Dance Group performed two Chinese dances, “Spring Ballet” and “Beautiful Scenery”.
