2023 Saskatoon Year of the Rabbit Spring Festival Gala

On January 7, 2023, the “2023 Saskatoon Year of the Rabbit Spring Festival Gala”, co-organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan (USask CI), Happy Life Wealth Management Inc., and Chinese Dance School of Saskatchewan, was successfully held in Lakeview Church, Saskatoon. More than 700 audience came to enjoy the great performances presented by artists from the Chinese performing groups, Indigenous performing groups, Afghan performing groups, and Bangladeshi performing groups. It is not only a Chinese cultural event, but also a multi-cultural gathering.

Mayor of Saskatoon His Worship Charlie Clark, Associate Vice-President Research of University of Saskatchewan and Chair of USask CI Management Committee Dr. Darcy Marciniuk, General Manager of Happy Life Wealth Management Inc. Mr. Liangzhi Luo, and Chinese Co-Director of the USask CI Dr. Ning Liu, gave their respective opening remarks on the stage. Mayor of Saskatoon Mr. Charlie Clark, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport and the Status of Women Ms. Laura Ross, and Acting Consul General of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary Mr. Xiusheng Wang sent their Letters of Congratulations to the organizing committee.
