On February 20, 2018, led by the two directors Dr. Li Zong and Dr. Ning Liu, the U of S CI went to Primrose Chateau to celebrate the Chinese New Year together with the senior citizens there. The Canadian Director Dr. Li Zong played Erhu (a Chinese musical instrument), and the volunteer teachers performed lion dance, panda dance, and Chinese songs. After the performances, the volunteer teachers taught the senior citizens how to make paper-cutting.

The two events brought to the senior citizens a lot of happiness, and at the same time they got to know and experienced some traditional Chinese culture.
