U of S CI Lion Dance at the FMG Saskatoon Dragon-boat Race

On July 20 and 21, 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan performed lion parade for the FMG Saskatoon Dragon-boat Race at Rotary Park along the Saskatchewan River.

On July 20 and 21, 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan performed lion parade for the FMG Saskatoon Dragon-boat Race at Rotary Park along the Saskatchewan River.

The FMG organizes dragon-boat race in Saskatoon every year to raise money for the welfare of the children in Saskatchewan. This year, the Race attracted 21 teams (368 racers) and more than 1500 audience. The U of S CI Dragon and Lion Dance Group was invited to perform lion parade for the Race for five times, once on the 20th and 4 times on the 21st. Both the racers and the audience were amazed by the lovely and amazing actions of the lion and expressed their appreciations and gratitude to the performers by appraisal, applauses, and cheers.
