On August 31 and September 4, 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan took part in the welcoming activities organized by ISSAC for the newcomers.
On August 31, 2018, the U of S CI participated in a series of welcoming activities organized by ISSAC, including the welcoming dinner, Karaoke, shuttlecock playing, etc. The shuttlecock playing organized by the U of S CI at the Gym in Education Building attracted a lot of students to join in.
On September 5, 2018, the U of S CI participated in the New Students Expo held at the University Bowl. The U of S CI displayed a lot of things to the new students, the Chinese language and culture class timetable, Chinese knots, postcards, panda fans, photo frames, etc.
Many new students came to the U of S CI booth and registered for the Chinese language and culture classes for the Fall Term.
