USask CI Performed at Prince Albert

On September 29, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Chinese Dance School went to Prince Albert on invitation to perform at “Tapestrama Cultural Festival” organized by Prince Albert Multicultural Council. This cultural festival aims at promoting multi-culturalism and celebrating the successful multi-cultural integration and development of the local communities.

USask CI brought to more than 500 audience three Chinese-style art performances: Drunken Lion Dance, Qipao Show, and the traditional Chinese dance “Beauty Chant”.

The Saskatchewan Chinese Dance School performed Dragon Dance and Chinese dance “Happy Ballad” and “Red River Valley”.

The performances by the USask CI and the Saskatchewan Chinese Dance School were greatly appreciated by the organizer and the audience, who expressed their strong wishes to invite the two organizations to join in their future cultural events.
