USask International Researchers’ China Tour

The Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan, together with the Confucius Institute Headquarters, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Beijing Institute of Technology and the USask International Research & Partnerships, organized the 2019 USask International Researchers’ China Tour.

The USask delegation (8 members) visited Beijing and Hangzhou from December 6 to 19. During their stay in China, the delegates visited and exchanged with a number of Chinese universities and organizations, including Beijing Institute of Technology, School of Stomatology of Peking University, Capital Medical University, Beijing Normal University, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang University and Shaoxing University. The delegates had broad and profound discussions with their Chinese colleagues on the potential opportunities for further collaborations and exchanges.

Apart from visits to universities and other organizations, the delegates also visited some historical sites and famous sightseeing scenes, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the National Museum of China, the West Lake in Hangzhou, etc.

All the delegates expressed their satisfaction with the tour and their appreciation for the Confucius Institute. They expected to have closer collaborations with the Chinese universities in the coming year.
