2018 U of S Senior Administrators’ China Tour

From November 22 to December 5, 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan organized the “2018 U of S Senior Administrators’ China Tour” to two cities in China: Beijing, the capital of China and Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. There were five members in the delegate, Jim Lee, the Executive Director International, Meghna Ramaswamy, the Director of International Research, Preston Smith, the Dean of College of Medicine, Angela Bedard-Haughn, the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies, College of Agriculture and Bioresources, and Ning Liu, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute.

During the visit in China, the delegate visited several universities in China and had meetings with them, discussing the possibilities of cooperation and further collaborations, including Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Language and Culture University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Central China Normal University, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, etc. The delegate also visited the Confucius Institute Headquarters and the Primary School Affiliated to Beijing Institute of Technology.

Apart from meetings with the universities in China, the delegate also visited some famous museums and famous historical sites such as National Museum of China, Hubei Museum, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Yellow Crane Tower, Hanzheng Street, etc.
