The two-day conference brought together many teachers from The Greater Vancouver K-12 Chinese Teacher Association, and Chinese language professors from the Canadian Institutions and across the world, such as the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, the Australian National University, University of Wollongong, and Hiroshima University in Japan. Through the presentations, round-table discussion, Q & A sessions, and the H5P workshop, the presenters and conference attendees shared their teaching experience, and exchanged ideas on Chinese language teaching methods, research findings, classroom challenges and solutions, and teacher resources and top learning tools.
This conference provided a great professional development opportunity for the USask CI instructors and inspired them to be creative, utilize the latest technologies, and build an interactive learning environment in the classroom.
