In the early morning, the U of S CI went to Ottewell High School in Edmonton to observe classes taught by a famous Chinese teacher Dr. Mianmian Xie. Through more than 10 years of teaching experiences, Dr. Xie has formed her own special teaching method. She teaches Chinese language with the help of sign language, songs, martial arts and dances. Her class is never boring with a combination of various class activities. All the students were actively involved in all the class activities. The U of S CI volunteer teachers see with their own eyes how to teach language in a joyful way.
